With rain and snow in the forecast, we recommend making sure your sump pump works properly. Here’s how:

1. Check power supply - Make sure your pump is plugged into a working outlet and perhaps consider adding a backup battery for outages.

2. Test the pump - Pour water into the sump pit. The pump should activate as the water rises and shut off once drained. If not, it may need repairs.

3. Inspect exterior pipe - Check the exterior pipe for blockages. Clear any debris to avoid pump issues.

4. Call a pro - For added assurance, have Dylan at Pristine Plumbing inspect your pump to ensure it's in tip top shape.
